OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Women's Soccer opens the regular season Wednesday night at Caniglia Field, hosting Iowa State at 7 p.m. CT in the Mavericks' 2026 home opener.

The match marks the regular-season opener for both teams after Omaha played Kansas State to a scoreless draw in an exhibition on Aug. 5 and against South Dakota on Aug. 8.

The Mavericks opened the 2025 season with a 1-1 draw against Northern Colorado before earning a 6-3 victory over Green Bay three days later. Omaha went unbeaten through its first four regular-season matches (2-0-2) and finished the 2025 campaign with a 6-9-4 overall record, including a 3-4-1 mark in Summit League play.

Wednesday's contest will be the fifth meeting between the programs and the second time Iowa State has visited Caniglia Field. The Cyclones lead the Mavericks 3-0.

Omaha enters the 2026 season after being picked third in the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll. Head coach Tim Walters, entering his 10th season at the helm, welcomes 12 newcomers while returning a veteran core led by team captains sophomore midfielder Addie LaRock, junior forward Charley Kort and senior defender Jasmyn Brown.

LaRock and sophomore forward Kendall Dobberstein were named Summit League Players to Watch for the 2026 season. Dobberstein is coming off a breakout 2025 campaign in which she earned All-Summit League Second Team and Summit League All-Newcomer Team honors.

Following Wednesday's opener, the Mavericks will play three straight road matches at Northern Iowa (Aug. 20), Green Bay (Aug. 23) and Nebraska (Aug. 27) before returning to Caniglia Field to host Lindenwood on Aug. 30.
