OMAHA, Neb. - First place Omaha softball returns to
Connie Claussen Field beginning Friday, April 18 at 2 p.m. for the final homestand of the season, welcoming South Dakota for a three-game conference series, followed by the home finale against Creighton on Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. CT. All four games will air on the Summit League Network.

The Mavericks (29-9, 9-3 Summit) have won eight straight and emerged victorious in three-consecutive conference series.
Sydney Thomason has been an offensive workhorse for
Mike Heard's team, rallying for a .357 average including a team-leading 11 home runs. Thomason's 39 RBI are the most by a Maverick this season.
South Dakota enters
Connie 24-17 overall, coming off back-to-back victories against Morningside. At 4-5 in conference play, the Coyotes currently sit fifth in the Summit League standings.
Creighton hosts St. John's in a BIG EAST series before the non-conference tilt with Omaha. The Mavericks bested Creighton 3-2 in the opening game of the season series on April 1.

Following the conclusion of the homestand, the Mavericks hit the road for one final Summit League series at South Dakota State beginning Saturday, April 26.
