OMAHA, Neb. – (RV) Omaha Hockey (14-11-1, 10-5-1 NCHC) returns to the Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena, where it is on a five-game winning streak to host Minnesota Duluth (10-13-1, 6-8-0 NCHC). Friday and Saturday's games begin at 7:07 p.m. CT and will stream on NCHC.tv, with Mike Vaillancourt conducting play-by-play duties and Terry Leahy as the analyst. The Mavericks return home following their trip to Denver, where they captured two points in the NCHC standings as the result of a 16-round shootout on Friday, Jan. 31, the longest in the conference's history. Graduate defenseman and captain

As it moves onto Minnesota Duluth this weekend, Omaha is on a five-game winning streak at home against Minnesota Duluth and is outscoring it 24-13. The Mavericks are 7-3-0 over their last 10 games against the Bulldogs overall.

Simon Latkoczy enters the series with 41 collegiate wins as a Maverick, the fourth-most in program history, trailing
Jerad Kaufmann (45 wins) by four victories.
Latkoczy was named January's NCHC Goaltender of the Month and earned a runner-up spot for January's HCA Goaltenders of the Month honor.
Among NCHC goaltenders who played 33 percent of their teams' minutes in net in January, he was tied for the most wins in the conference as he posted a 5-1-1 record. Latkoczy led with a .943 save percentage, his 1.99 goals-against average was third best, and his 233 saves led the conference and were fourth-most in the nation.
Omaha enters the series with the second-most wins (9) in the NCHC since Dec. 1. Among all Division I teams, the Mavericks' nine wins since Dec. 1 is tied for the sixth-most.
Omaha has found offensive production during its six-game winning streak, tied for the fourth-longest in program history.
The Mavericks went 7-1-1 in January, the most wins they recorded in the month in program history. This January marked the fourth time that Omaha recorded seven wins in a single month.

Brady Risk is one of Omaha's hottest offensive producers. Since Dec. 1, Risk's seven are tied for the fourth-most in the NCHC.

Sam Stange leads Omaha in points (21) and goals (11) entering the home series. The Eau Claire, Wis., native has set career highs across the board offensively and is among the top goal scorers in the nation of all graduate students. Since Nov. 15, the first-year Maverick ranks fifth among graduate students in goals with nine.
The Mavericks' special teams have had their moments this season, but Omaha's penalty kill on the Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena stood out consistently throughout the campaign.
On home ice this season, the Mavericks' penalty kill has been one of the most dominant in the nation. Omaha's 93.1 penalty kill success rate on home ice is the second-best in the nation and NCHC. Its two power-play goals allowed are also the second-least among all Division I and NCHC teams.

Next weekend, Omaha hits the road to face No. 4 Western Michigan at Lawson Arena. The Mavericks will play two games, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on Friday, and Saturday's puck drop is set for 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT.
