OMAHA, Neb. – (RV) Omaha Hockey (16-13-1, 12-7-1 NCHC), who sits in third place in the NCHC, hosts second-place foe No. 12 Arizona State (18-12-2, 13-8-1 NCHC) in the final regular season home series on Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena. The first game is on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1. Both contests will begin at 7:07 p.m. CT. The games will stream on NCHC.tv, and the audio will be available on the Varsity app or 1290 KOIL AM, with Mike Vaillancourt conducting play-by-play duties and Terry Leahy as the analyst.
Friday night's game is Leap-For-A-Cure night, and Saturday's is Omaha's White Out and Senior Night.
Omaha has won seven consecutive games on home ice heading into its final regular season series on Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena. The streak is the second-longest active streak in the nation and NCHC.
In NCHC games, the Mavericks have won eight straight at home. It is the longest active and overall home win streak against conference opponents this season.
Omaha and Arizona State have faced off 13 times. The Mavericks are the fourth most common opponent that the Sun Devils play against.
The Mavericks' .577 winning percentage against Arizona State is their second-highest against an NCHC opponent (vs. CC, .634).

Jimmy Glynn (156 GP) is two games away from tying Daniel Samuelsson (1998-2002) and Eddie DelGrosso (2006-10) for the seventh most games played in Omaha history.
Graduate defenseman and captain
Nolan Krenzen is set to play in his 156th game as a Maverick on Friday night against the Sun Devils. The Twig, Minn., native will tie former Maverick Mark Bernier (2006-09) for the fourth-most games played as a defenseman in Omaha history.
The fifth-year blueliner will pass Bernier to sit in fourth alone if he plays in both games this weekend.
Omaha's offense has succeeded on home ice this season in NCHC play.
Graduate forward
Brady Risk has found the back of the net nine times in conference play. The Medicine Hat, Alberta native, has also had success with the man advantage in league play.
In NCHC matchups, Risk has netted five power play goals, which is tied for the most in the conference. Fellow Maverick and graduate forward
Jimmy Glynn also ranks among the top. Glynn is tied for the third-most power play goals in NCHC contests.
Risk has netted nine goals on Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena in 2024-25. Among graduate students, Risk's nine goals on home ice are tied for the second-most in the nation.
The Mavericks have also put up quite the defensive stand and special teams effort on Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena.
Omaha played 14 games on Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena in 2024-25 and has faced 34 opponent power plays. Visiting teams have only scored four times in those opportunities, which is tied for the fourth-least power play goals allowed in the country and second-least in the NCHC to opponents on home ice this season.
After this week, the Mavericks hit the road one final time to wrap up the 2024-25 regular season.
The Mavericks will travel to Grand Forks, N.D., for two games against the Fighting Hawks. The final series begins on Friday, March 7, at 7:07 p.m., and the regular season finale will begin at 6:07 p.m.
