OMAHA, Neb. – (RV) Omaha Hockey is again partnering with Methodist Hospital and
Leap-For-A-Cure for the annual Leap-For-A-Cure game on Friday, Feb. 28, when it hosts No. 12 Arizona State.
All money raised from donations at the game on Feb. 28 and from the online jersey auction will be donated to Leap-For-A-Cure.
The online auction, which features the Mavericks' gray jerseys, goes live on
OMavs.com/Auctions on Friday, Feb. 28, at 4 p.m. CT and will remain open through Tuesday, March 4, at 8 p.m. CT.
Leap-For-A-Cure was founded in July 2008 by the family of Heather Roberts, who succumbed to her battle with glioblastoma brain cancer in November 2016 at the age of 37. Their mission is to raise awareness of brain cancer, with the goal of providing education and diagnostic treatment options for brain cancer and brain trauma patients and families.
Leap-For-A-Cure's efforts have raised over $1 million to fund equipment, technology, and resources for Methodist patients.
