OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Basketball is ready to face off with No. 24 Nebraska and Western Illinois as non-conference play approaches an end.
Omaha will play Nebraska at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Dec. 9 and Western Illinois at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The Mavericks (1-8) will make the trip down I-80 for the 17th time in program history. When these teams last met, Nebraska (9-0) won 88-48. The Mavs and Huskers have only met four times this century with Nebraska winning them all. Omaha's last win was on Dec. 20, 1986 when the Mavericks won 76-74.
Omaha has faced Western Illinois (6-1) a lot more than just four times this century as Western Illinois was a member of the Summit League. The Leathernecks lead 20-8 all-time with an 89-83 win over the Mavericks last season.
Brent Weber will be on the call on the Varsity Network or by dialing into 1180 AM in Omaha, Neb. Tuesday's game will be air on Big Ten Plus and Saturday's will be on ESPN+.
