GREENWOOD, Ind. - Omaha Women's Basketball graduate guard Sarai Estupiñan (Cedar Park, Texas) was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team®, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be named to the Academic All-District Team®, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a sophomore or above, compete in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
Estupiñan, who is pursuing a graduate certificate in logistics and supply chain management, started all 33 games for the Mavericks, shot 34.99% from the field, 85.95% from the free throw line and tallied 423 points.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America ® is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions.
