OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Basketball is set play cross-town rival Creighton before heading west to play in a tournament at Loyola Marymount.
 
The Mavericks (1-10) will welcome the Bluejays (4-5, 1-0 Big East) to Baxter Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. CT. It will be the first time this series has been played since 2022. Creighton leads the series 17-15 all-time, but Omaha is 9-8 when the series is played at home.
 
Wednesday night will be Millard Night, celebrating Millard Public Schools and the entire Millard community. Both teams have a pair of athletes from a Millard school with Omaha's Cora Olsen graduating from Millard South and Avril Smith from Millard North.
 
After facing the Bluejays, the Mavericks will head toward warmer weather with a trip to Los Angeles for the LMU Tournament. Loyola Marymount will act as the host for the event. Omaha will play Southern Utah (7-3) on Saturday, Dec. 20 and Weber State (3-7) on Sunday, Dec. 21. The Mavs have never faced the Thunderbirds or the Wildcats, but they have faced plenty of teams from Utah this season.
 
Wednesday's game will be broadcast on the Summit League Network with Brent Weber on the call on the Varsity Network and 1180 AM in Omaha, Neb.
