LOGAN, Utah – Omaha Women's Basketball fell late to Utah State and suffered a 77-69 loss on the road on Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks (1-4) came out hot against the Aggies (2-1) and held on to the lead for the first three quarters, but Utah State's shots fell in the fourth when Omaha's did not. Through the first three quarters, Omaha led in field goal percentage and 3-point percentage. Utah State secured a 77.8 percent in field goals in the fourth when the Mavs shot 30.8 percent.
Graduate student
Sarai Estupiñan (Cedar Park, Texas) recorded a new career-high with 26 points. She shot 8-20 from the field with three 3-pointers and 7-8 from the foul line. Junior
Cora Olsen (Omaha, Neb.) was next up in scoring with 16 points.
Freshman
Regan Juenemann (Crosby, Minn.) took her chances on the arc. She went 3-4 for a new career-high in made 3-pointers and points.
