OMAHA, Neb. – (RV) Omaha Hockey's junior defenseman Aidan de La Gorgendiere (Langley, British Columbia, Canada) has been named the KJ Branding National Collegiate Hockey Conference Defenseman of the Week honors following a career night at Baxter Arena, the National announced Tuesday.
de La Gorgendiere was a force on both ends of the ice in the Mavericks' series against No. 13 UMass. On Friday, Oct. 24, he notched one assist, two blocks and a season-high five shots in Omaha's hard-fought 5-4 loss at home.
He followed that performance up on Saturday night, helping lead the Mavericks to a thrilling 5-2 upset over the Minutemen with one goal, two assists and a block.
Over the two-game series, de La Gorgendiere fired off eight shots and set new season- and career-highs with three points in Saturday's victory at Baxter Arena.
Across the first four games of the 2025-26 season, he has tallied two goals, four assists and three blocks.
(RV) Omaha Hockey is set to play its first road series to start off conference play at No. 15 Colorado College on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1.
