Volleyball set to host South Dakota

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Volleyball is set to host South Dakota at home on Saturday, Oct. 11 at noon.
 
The Mavericks (4-9, 1-3 Summit League) will face the Coyotes (10-6, 2-2) for the 76th time in program history. Omaha leads 49-26 over South Dakota. Last season, the Coyotes knocked Omaha out of the Summit League Championship Tournament with a 3-0 win on Nov, 25, 2024. Prior to that, the Mavs beat South Dakota 3-1 twice in the regular season (Oct. 5 and Nov. 16).
 
Last time out the Mavericks lost to North Dakota State, 3-1, at home.
 
Junior Emily Huss (Fairbury, Neb.) remains the conference leader in blocks per set (1.49), assisted blocks (61) and total blocks (70). She is ranked 14th in the country for blocks per set. Senior Kali Jurgensmeier (Wahoo, Neb.) remains atop the league rankings for points per set with an average of 4.60.
