Apr 19, 2024

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Men's Basketball team has picked up junior guard Lance Waddles from Summit League rival North Dakota State.

At 6'3" and 195 pounds, the Louisiana native spent two seasons with the Bison, appearing in 58 games (11 starts) and averaging 4.6 ppg and 1.7 rpg. He also shot 36.5% from the field and totaled 269 points. He took a big step forward in his sophomore season last year, raising his FG% to 43.8 and his points per game to 5.4. Of his nine career games scoring in double figures, six came in 2023-24.

On November 20, 2023 against Wisconsin-Stout, Waddles turned in a career-best performance with a team-high 26 points after shooting 9-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-8 from behind the arc.

"Lance is an experienced guard that possesses a great feel for the game," remarked Head Coach Chris Crutchfield. "Along with his ability to play with the ball in his hands, he also shoots the ball exceptionally well from three-point range. We are excited to have Lance join our program and look forward to him competing on the floor this upcoming season."
