SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Oct. 7, 2025) - Omaha Men's Basketball, the defending Summit League regular-season and tournament champions, was selected second in the 2025-26 Summit League Preseason Poll, it was revealed Tuesday at Summit League Media Day. The poll, compiled by the conference office, consists of the league's nine head coaches and media regularly covering the Summit and its member institutions.
Receiving 13 first-place votes, the Mavericks trailed only St. Thomas, the projected No. 1 team in the Summit this season. The Tommies have finished their reclassification to NCAA Division I and are eligible to take part in March Madness beginning this season. The full Preseason Poll is below. The Mavericks have been selected eighth and seventh, respectively, in the previous two seasons.

Senior guard
Tony Osburn (Fairfax, Mo.) was named to the Preseason First Team All-Summit and senior guard
Ja'Sean Glover (Madelia, Minn.) was named to the Second Team. Osburn, alongside graduate student center
Isaac Ondekane (Kinshasa, Congo) will represent Omaha at Summit League Media Day this afternoon live at approximately 12:15 p.m. CT on the Summit League Network.
Expected to see time as the Mavs' point guard in 2025-26, Osburn started all but one game for Omaha last season shooting at a 43.9 percent clip from the field. Osburn made 39.2 percent of his three-point attempts (74-189) and sank 77 of 79 free throw tries (85.6 percent). Averaging 12.1 points per game last season, Osburn tallied 19 games in double-figure scoring last season. Osburn increased his offensive output by over 88 percent season-over-season, helping lead the Mavericks to their first-ever Summit League regular-season and tournament titles, culminating in Omaha's first March Madness appearance.
A member of last season's Summit League All-Defensive Team, Glover returns to Omaha for his third season in black and red. With a career-high 31 steals and 14 blocks, the 6-foot-5 guard made 35 appearances with six starts last season. Glover nabbed 98 rebounds (2.8 r.p.g.) and shot 35.6 percent from three-point range (31-of-87). He finished last season 45.4 percent from the field.

Chris Crutchfield (fourth season) bringing back three of five starters (Osburn, Ondekane,
Kamryn Thomas). With six newcomers, Omaha returns nine from the 2024-25 squad.
