The Omaha Mavericks have announced the addition of former Alaska Fairbanks forward, Brady Risk, for the 2024-25 season.
Risk, who is entering his fifth year, led the Nanooks in points last season with 13 goals and 20 assists for a career best 33 points. Donning an alternate captain "A" on his sweater last year, Risk was a +8 in 32 games played.
"Getting an opportunity to take my 5th year at Omaha is a dream come true. The world-class facilities, along with the incredible support from the community is an environment every college hockey player dreams of being in," Risk said. "I am excited to have the opportunity to play under an experienced and successful coaching staff, and alongside a great group of players who have built a winning culture."
Playing in 97 games, the Medicine Hat, Alberta native has racked up 36 lamp lighters and 44 helpers for 80 points.
Risk logged a five-game point streak from 1/5-1/27 and a six-game points streak from 10/21-11/17 last season. Over his five-game streak, he recorded two goals and five assists against North Dakota, Alaska Anchorage and LIU. For his six-game streak, he erupted for five goals and five assists against St. Cloud State, Anchorage, Northern Michigan and Stonehill.
Risk also tallied 10 multi-point games last season. He had one four-point game and two three-point contests on the campaign.
