OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Hockey's junior defenseman
Jacob Guevin was named the KJ Branding NCHC Defenseman of the Week for Nov. 11-25, it was announced today.
This marks Omaha's third weekly honor this season from the NCHC and Guevin's second. The Drummondville, Quebec native has won the honor three times, the first being during the 2022-23 campaign.
The 5-foot-11, 189-pound blueliner recorded three assists for a conference-high this weekend among defensemen in both assists and points (3). Guevin was also a part of the Maverick penalty kill that went 7-for-7 this weekend.
Playing a pivotal role in the sweep over Miami, Guevin recorded his second multi-point game of the season on Saturday night's 8-1 victory over the RedHawks with two assists. Guevin also finished the weekend at plus-2.
Omaha Hockey will see a break in play over Thanksgiving weekend but will be back in action when they travel to face NCHC foe St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Minn. The Games are set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
