The Omaha Mavericks head to Minnesota to play the St. Thomas Tommies on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m.

• Omaha trailed just behind Denver in field goals 48.1% (25-of-52) to 48.3% (28-of-58). The Mavericks nearly doubled the Pioneers three-pointers going 57.1% (8-of-14) to 26.3% (5-of-19). On the free throw line, Omaha scored more but trailed in shot percentage (81.5%, 22-of-27 vs. 84.2%, 16-of-19).
• The Mavericks' 17.67 free throws made per game ranks them second in the nation and first in the conference.
• Omaha averages 73.7 points per game, ranking them 67th for scoring offense nationally and third in the Summit. From the arc they are shooting a .350, placing them at 51 in the national ranking.

Scouting the St. Thomas Tommies
• St. Thomas hosts Omaha with a 12-9 overall record and 4-3 conference record.
• The Tommies are tied for fourth in the conference standings.
• St. Thomas got back to its winning ways on Saturday. After a road loss to North Dakota State, the Tommies rebounded with a 76-66 victory over North Dakota, earning their first Summit League sweep of the 2023-24 season.
• Amber Scalia was lights out for St. Thomas in Grand Forks, scoring a career-high 32 points on 9-19 shooting, including a 5-10 clip from beyond the arc. In fact, when the Fighting Hawks were starting to gain momentum, it was Scalia who flipped the script, scoring 13 of her 32 points in the final five minutes of the second quarter to secure a 34-19 lead for the Tommies.
• St. Thomas' defense was also superb, as the Tommies did not allow North Dakota to score a single point for an eight-minute stretch over the second and third quarters.
• There's a new member in the Tommies 1000 point club. Junior Jade Hill became the first St. Thomas women's basketball player in the DI era to surpass the 1000 point milestone.
