Tanner Ludtke was named Week 16 NCHC Rookie of the Week today. The Maverick freshman scored the overtime game winning goal on Friday night to secure the comeback victory. Ludtke added a pair of assists on the weekend and was +1 overall.

The Elko, Minnesota native is the sixth weekly award winner for the Mavericks joining his brother Griffin (Week 5), Jo Lemay (Week 2 & 6), Simon Latkoczy (Week 9) and Ty Mueller (Week 16).

Ludtke is second on the team in points with 18. He's registered seven goals and 11 assists. His +6 rating leads all Mavericks.

The true freshman is riding a seven-game point streak currently. Over those seven games, he's lit the lamp four times and tallied six assists.

Ludtke and the No. 20/19 Mavericks are set to take on the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth this Friday and Saturday at Baxter Arena.
