Mavericks Ready to Host Denver

The Omaha Mavericks will welcome the Denver Pioneers to Baxter Arena on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m.

Scouting the Denver Pioneers 
    • Denver comes into the game with a 4-15 record on the season, going 1-8 on the road and 1-5 in conference play. 
    • Denver fell to the South Dakota Yotes on Thursday night in a back-and-forth battle in Vermillion. 
    • Against the Coyotes, the Pioneers fell 78-70. 
    • Jordan Jones collected a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. In addition to Jones' double-double, the Pioneers (4-15, 1-5) were led by Emma Smith, who totaled 14 points and five assists, and by Emily Counsel, who added 11 points. The Denver offense was very productive from three-point land, pouring in 11 threes on 31 attempts. Smith was the most prolific shooter for the Pioneers, draining four treys in the contest.

    • Jordan Jones led the Pioneers with 18 points.
