The Omaha Mavericks will take the road once again to tip off against the Kansas City Roos on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m.

• Omaha was out-shot on the field 37.5% (21-of-56) to 55.2% (32-of-58). From the three-point line, the Mavericks were also out-shot 27.3% (6-of-22) to 48% (12-of-25). The Mavericks trailed just behind in free throws (70%, 7-of-10 vs. 72.7%, 16-of-22).
• The Mavericks' 17.22 free throws made per game ranks fifth in the nation and first in the conference.
• Their 73.1 average points per game ranks them 81st nationally for scoring offense. From the arc, the Mavericks average a .342 shot percentage which is good enough to rank them 75th nationally.

Aaliyah Stanley has gone 47-of-54 on the line this season for a .870 free throw percent, ranking her 40th among all Division 1 players who are eligible to be ranked.

Scouting the Kansas City Roos
• Kansas City will look to snap its two-game losing skid with its first home game since Jan. 3 and first conference home game since Dec. 31.
• Since making her first-career start against Weber State Alayna Contreras has notched herself a spot in the Kansas City starting five. Before earning her spot in the starting lineup, Contreras was averaging 23 minutes per game; in the past three games has averaged just over 37 minutes per game. Along with increasing her time on the court, Contreras has put up a double-digit performance in each of the games she has started with a season-high 20 points against Weber State.
• Jumping out to a quick lead will be important for the Roos as they look to pick up their first win of conference play. When the Roos are leading at half time they boast a 9-3 record this season.
• Nariyah Simmons has been a staple for the Roos averaging 9.9 points per game, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists. She is the only Roo who has started in all 19 games so far this season. Last season, the Roos played 32 games and Jocelyn Ewell led the team in starts with 29 on the season.
• The Roos faced foul troubles in their past two games averaging 28 team fouls per game last week. In the matchup against North Dakota, the Roos had 30 team fouls, allowing the Fighting Hawks 34 free-throw opportunities. The 30 team fouls was the second-highest fouling performance of the Roos, just behind their first game of the season against Bradley when Kansas City recorded 32 team fouls.
