Omaha Mavericks Women's Tennis head coach
Adam Summitt announced the signing of transfer racket Paula Arcarons. Arcarons, a native of Lleida, Spain, joins the Mavericks after a two-year stint at Jackson State University.
"We are excited to have Paula come to Omaha next fall. She's played high in the lineup at Jackson State and will come in with some experience," Summitt said. She's got some weapons in her game that can make her a tough competitor. She wants to come in and compete right away. Looking forward to August with her and Khayli Buckels."
Arcarons racked up successful singles and doubles records in both her Freshman and Sophomore seasons. The transfer racket is 25-11 in singles and 24-12 in doubles all-time. In 2021-22, she went 13-6 in singles and a healthy 15-3 in doubles. She followed up her rookie campaign by going 12-5 in singles and 9-9 in doubles for 2022-23.
"I chose Omaha because I really liked the academic program and I believe that I would be a good fit for the team," Arcarons said.
The incoming junior is set to join the Mavericks for the 2023-34 season. She is majoring in molecular and biomedical biology.
