The Omaha Track & Field team is set to make their 2023 outdoor season debut tomorrow at the Central Nebraska Challenge in Kearney, Nebraska.
"Now that we've had a month of good training since the indoor season ended, we're looking forward continuing where we left off," Omaha head coach
Chris Richardson said.
Tomorrow's appearance at the Central Nebraska Challenge will be the first time the Mavericks have competed in it.
"We get to add in some more events during the outdoor season which provide more opportunities to be great. Kearney will be a new meet for us so it will be fun to try something different," Richardson said.
On the track,the Mavericks will be competing in the 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, 800m run, 1500m run, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles and the 4 x 100 relay. In the field, Omaha will compete in the high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, hammer throw and the javelin.
