May 10, 2025

Ames, Iowa - Jade Jackson and Grace Mustard led the Omaha track and field team by entering the top-10 fastest times in the 100 meter hurdles in program history.

Numerous Mavericks posted personal records on Friday in the last meet before the Summit League Outdoor Championships.

"In our final tune-up prior to the conference championships our ladies took some major leaps in a short and intense week," said head coach Cliff Cisar. "It was apparent from the first event that we were going to have a solid day as the Long Jump crew both hit collegiate PRs and marks that will get them on the conference team next week. The momentum didn't settle as both Jade Jackson and Grace Mustard had career days with now the 8th and 9th fastest 100mH times in program history."

To start the day in the long jump both Shay Sinnard and Hannah Dunning set personal records. Sinnard finished in fourth place with a distance of 5.54 meters (18' 2.25"). Dunning finished in eighth place, with her collegiate best distance of 5.37 meters (17' 7.5").

In the 100 meter hurdle prelims both Jade Jackson and Grace Mustard set personal records and entered the record books. Jackson now holds the eighth fastest time in program history with a time of 14.63 seconds. Mustard finished in 14.76 seconds which put her at number 12 in the record books.

In the finals of the 100 meter hurdles, both Jackson and Mustard set another personal record. Jackson finished in fifth place with a time of 14.55 seconds.

Mustard finished in sixth place with a time of 14.62 seconds and now holds the ninth fastest time in program history in the event.

In the 100 meter dash finals, Tania Gleason finished in eighth place with a time of 12.16 seconds.

Ava Robinson and Jocelynn Skoda both recorded personal bests in the 200 meter dash and finished in the top-10. Robinson finished in eighth place with a time of 25.60 seconds. Skoda finished in 25.63 seconds in ninth place.

"Emma Klein won her event with an outdoor PR and Meredith Richter inched her way even closer to the 10th spot in program history in the 800m," said Cisar. "Leaving with 15+ PRs and knowing some were competing in a higher level of fatigue in preparation for next week is an incredible sign of our trajectory moving towards Summit. Proud of these ladies and excited to get to Vermillion next week to put it all on the line!"

Emma Klein won the triple jump with an outdoor personal best of 11.93 meters (39' 3.75").

Ali Wiseman and Kate Kelly both finished in the top-eight in the triple jump. Wiseman finished in fifth with a distance of 11.13 meters (36' 6.25") and Kelly jumped 11.03 meters (36' 2.25"), which put her into sixth place.

In the 800 meter dash, Meredith Richter, Maya Bergstrom, and Julia Thomas all posted personal records.

Richter finished in sixth place with a time of 2:14.05. Bergstrom finished just behind in 2:17.92 finishing in seventh place. Thomas finished with a time of 2:18.80.

In the 1500 meters, three more Mavericks set personal records to make it more than 15 total on the day.

Sydney Beaudin finished in 4:55.45. Emma Hain finished in 4:59.66 and Carrington Hesson finished just behind with a time of 5:00.71.

The Omaha track and field team finished the regular season and will return to action on May 15 for the Summit League Championships in Vermillion, South Dakota.
