Track and Field sets out for Summit League Indoor Championships

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Track and Field is setting out for another Summit League Indoor Championship meet on Friday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28. 

The Mavericks will send 21 athletes to compete in 13 events in the two-day meet. 

Omaha has been on the rise all season with athletes consistently adding new results to the program top-10 lists. 

Heading into the conference meet, senior Emma Klein (Gower, Mo.) is fourth in the conference standings in the triple jump after her performance at the Nebraska Tune-Up (Feb. 20). Her result of 12.13 meters made her fifth all-time for Omaha. 

The distance Medley relay team of freshman Hope Riedel (Lincoln, Neb.), sophomore Jocelynn Skoda (West Point, Neb.), junior Lily Schwartz (Lincoln, Neb.) and freshman Briley Early (Leawood, Kan.) has been third all season with a time of 12:25.01 that was set at the Washburn Open (Jan. 30). 

Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. CT each day at Frederick "Fritz" D. Pollard Jr. Athletic Center in Grand Forks, N.D. The meet will be streamed on the Summit League Network and live results will be available.
