OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Track and Field will make the trip north to the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, May 14, through Saturday, May 16.
The Mavericks will compete 16 athletes in 13 events, 11 track and two field.
Over the course of the outdoor season, the Mavs have rewritten the history book with 15 new top-10 results in program history. The highest among them belonging to senior Emma Klein (Gower, Mo.) in the triple jump. Her result of 12.06 meters makes her second all-time going into what could be the final meet of her collegiate career.
Omaha sits in scoring position in eight events. Junior Avyn Urbanski (Grand Island, Neb.) is eighth in the 100-meter dash and seventh in the 200-meter dash. Sophomore Jocelynn Skoda (West Point, Neb.) is fifth in the 400-meter dash while sophomore Lilly Smith (Ankeny, Iowa) is eighth in the 400-meter hurdles.
Both the 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay teams are fifth in their respective events while Klein is fourth in both the long jump and triple jump.
Competition will kick off at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, May 14, with the long jump. Live results and a live stream will be available.
