OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Track and Field will open the outdoor season at the Central Nebraska Challenge on Sunday, March 29.
The Mavericks will face a tough challenge in Kearney, Neb., with high winds expected over the weekend. The meet was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28, but had to be postponed due to the wind.
The Mavericks will compete in eight events, seven track and one field. Five freshmen will make their outdoor season debuts for the Mavericks: Becca Campbell (Papillion, Neb.), Charlotte Gregor (South Omaha, Neb.), Mari Keuck (Omaha, Neb.), Hope Riedel (Lincoln, Neb.) and Ryliegh Robbins (Parker, Colo.).
Competition will start for the Mavericks at 1 p.m. CT in the long jump. A live stream and live timing will be available.
