After an award-filled January, Freshman goaltender Simon Latkoczy has been named to the 27 player Tim Taylor Rookie of the Year Award Watch List.

Latkoczy is 7-2-0 for the Mavericks and is pitching a 1.82 goals-against average with a .932 save percentage. The Trencin, Slovakia native has also registered shutouts in his last two starts for Omaha.

The Rookie netminder currently leads the NCHC with his 1.82 GAA which is good for third in the NCAA. His .932 save percentage is second in the country and first in the NCHC. Latkoczy's .778 winning percentage ranks second among NCAA goalies. In each of his last nine appearances, he has allowed just two goals or less. In those nine games, Latkoczy has let up only 10 goals and registered a 1.15 GAA, .956 save percentage.

Latkoczy was named the NCHC and HCA National Goaltender of the Month for January.
