The Mavericks played to a 1-1 draw with the Jackrabbits in the final match of the season on Tuesday at SDSU, earning a share of third place in the conference and the No. 4 seed in the 2023 Summit League Women's Soccer Championship. Omaha heads to Denver, Colorado for a quarterfinal round matchup with No. 5 seeded South Dakota on Friday, Oct. 27. The Mavericks and Coyotes played to a scoreless draw earlier this month.

Alyssa Kellar was named the Summit League's Offensive Peak Performer of the Week after netting the game-tying goal against SDSU on Tuesday. Kellar had two goals and two assists on Sunday at St. Thomas to tie the Mavericks' Division I era record with six points in a single match.

Kellar is tied for second place in the Summit League with five assists this season as she leads the team in that category.

Sophia Green leads the Summit League with nine goals, 22 points and 50 shots. Green owns the Mavericks' Division I era program records with 23 goals and 56 points in her career at Omaha.

Jordyn West and Grace Ostergaard have started 75 matches for the Mavericks and share the Division I era program record for career starts.

Head coach Tim Walters wrapped up his seventh regular season at the helm. He has recorded 49 wins on the pitch, including three Summit League semifinal wins, one Summit League championship and a NCAA Tournament appearance.
SCOUTING THE SOUTH DAKOTA COYOTES
The Coyotes of South Dakota finished the regular season with an overall record of 7-6-4, 3-4-1 in conference play. South Dakota earned the No. 5 seed in this season's Summit League Championship with 10 conference points. The Yotes ended the regular season with two-straight road losses. USD fell 2-0 at Kansas City before losing to Oral Roberts by a score of 5-1 last Sunday.
COYOTES TO WATCH
• Ashby Johnston leads the Coyotes and is tied for second in the Summit League with eight goals this year. Johnston also leads USD in points with 18, and shots with 38. Ashby netted a brace of goals against St. Thomas on Sept. 21, and most recently scored against North Dakota State (Oct. 15.)
• Brooke Conway, Rylee Haldeman and Izzy Quintavalle share the team lead with five assists each for the Coyotes. Conway also has four goals as she ranks second on South Dakota with 13 points.
• Goalkeeper Caroline Lewis has started all 17 games for the Coyotes this season. Lewis averages 1.45 goals-against per game. The senior has made 83 saves this season, garnering a save percentage of .776.
SERIES HISTORY
Omaha has won 20 of the 26 meetings with South Dakota as the Mavericks lead the all-time series 20-3- 3. Omaha and South Dakota played to a scoreless draw when the two met earlier this season. The Mavericks are 4-3-3 over the last 10 matches with the Coyotes after winning the first 17 contests between the schools.
