The Basics
Omaha continues north with a game at North Dakota on Saturday. The Mavericks look for the regular season series sweep vs. the Fighting Hawks. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Both teams are coming off close battles from Thursday night's contests. Omaha fell to NDSU, 71-64, while UND faltered in overtime with Denver.

• Omaha has a chance of sweeping its first league opponent this weekend with a win at North Dakota. It would also mark Omaha's first road win of the season.
• The Mavericks nearly pulled off the win at North Dakota State to start the week's action. Four straight points from
Dylan Brougham with under a minute left Thursday night got the Mavericks within two. The Bison converted late free throws to take the 71-64 win.

Frankie Fidler helped Omaha snap a six game skid over the weekend with a 69-68 win vs. Kansas City. The freshman forward put up a career and game-high 25 points, including the buzzer beater to clinch the win.

• In league action, Fidler is averaging 13.1 ppg to lead Omaha. He sits 17th on the Summit League individual leaderboards.
• Brougham also notched a new career-best in the meeting vs. the Roos. He scored 13 points and also matched his career-high five rebounds.
• The win vs. the Roos marked the first time the Mavericks won a game on a Saturday this season. It also marked the first win in gray uniforms.
• Omaha nearly pulled off an upset Thursday night vs. Oral Roberts. The game saw four lead changes and two ties, but despite cutting the lead down to nine in the final minutes, The Mavericks fell short, 100-88.
• Five players scored double-figures and were led by Ferrarini who poured in 20 points off the bench. It marked the second time this season he scored at least 20 in a game. He scored 23 vs. Eastern Washington for a career-high.
• Hughes also posted a big performance off the bench with 16 points, while
Felix Lemetti scored 17.
Frankie Fidler added 14 points.
• Arop notched his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 13 boards. Eight of them were on the offensive glass.

Derrin Hansen enters his 17th season at the helm. He has a 252-254 career record leading the Mavericks.
• The 2021-22 season is the 109th overall in program history and the 11th of the Mavericks' Division I era. All-time, the program is 1,206-1,341.
Scouting the North Dakota Fighting Hawks
The Fighting Hawks are 4-20 overall and 0-11 in league play heading into Saturday's game with the Mavericks. Three of their four wins this season have come on their home court vs. Montana, Presentation College, and North Central (Minn.).
Paul Bruns leads North Dakota with 14.2 points per game. He is the lone Fighting Hawk in double-figures this season. Bruns shoots just over 40 percent from the field and also averages 5.0 rebounds per game.
North Dakota is coached by Paul Sather. He's in his third season with the Fighting Hawks and has a record of 28-55. His coaching career has spanned 17 total seasons and he has an overall record of310-206.
All-Time Against North Dakota
North Dakota leads the all-time series 46-42. The Mavericks earned another win in that series earlier this season with a 98-82 win at Baxter on Jan. 6.
Six players scored double-figures. Fidler led the squad with 16 points on 7-of-9 from the field, while Lemetti added 15 on 50 percent from the field. Smith was the third starter to reach double-digits with 12 on the night. Bench production was led by Hughes who scored 14. He also grabbed seven boards. Luedtke and Ferrarini scored 13 and 11 points, respectively.
