Scouting the Roadrunners
The Roadrunners went 5-20 last season with a 3-11 conference record. After defeating No. 8 CSUN in the first round of the Big West Championship, they very nearly pulled off a massive upset over No. 1 Hawaii in the quarterfinals, falling by only a single point in a 48-47 loss.

CSUB's last game was a 42-74 loss at UNLV. They were scheduled to play Fresno Pacific earlier this week, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols in the Sunbirds' team.

Sophomore forward Hennie Van Schaik currently leads the team with 28 points, despite only playing two out of three games so far. She is coming off a breakout rookie campaign that ended with her being named to the Big West All-Freshman team with 108 points, 80 total rebounds, and a team-high 12 blocks.

Senior center Soli Herrera is the team leader in rebounds with 17 boards through three games. Already, she is halfway to her career best of 35 rebounds in a single season which she set in 24 games last year. Herrera also blocked three shots in their loss to UNLV last week. Redshirt freshman Kayla Morris has blocked a team-high seven shots already, stopping two each in the first two games of the season and another three against UNLV. She also fell two rebounds short of a double-double last week along with her 10 points.

Head Coach Greg McCall is in his 12th season with CSU Bakersfield, compiling a 151-168 record.

All-Time Against CSU Bakersfield
The all-time series is tied at 2-2 between both teams. Their last meeting was in late 2018 in Omaha, with the Mavericks coming out on top 53-46.
