Freshman distance runner Kamryn Ensley was named a Preseason Athlete to Watch in the 2022-23 Summit League Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll released today. The Mavericks were picked to finish 8th.

Ensley is coming off a stellar freshman cross country campaign. The Clive, Iowa native finished top-10 in all six races and was named Newcomer of the Championship after her 4th place finish at the Summit League Championships.

Ensley's top finish from the cross country season came at the Platte River Rumble where she placed 2nd overall and helped lead Omaha to a 4th place finish. She broke the program record for the 6K at the Gans Creek Classic with a time of 20:57.6.

The Mavericks kickoff their 2022-23 Indoor season on Friday, December 2nd at the SDSU Holiday Invite and Multi in Brookings, South Dakota. They will compete Friday and then won't see competition again until the weekend of January 13th and 14th where they'll compete in the Graduate Classic in Lincoln.
