Track and Field heads to Drake

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Track and Field will head to the Jim Duncan Invitational on Friday, April 10. 

The Mavericks took a weekend off after opening the season at the Central Nebraska Challenge (3/28/26).  

The season opened with four Mavs recording top 10 results in their events. Sophomore Ainsley Anderson (Omaha, Neb.) and freshman Hope Riedel (Lincoln, Neb.) landed in the top 10 in their first-ever attempt at the 3000-meter steeplechase, with Riedel winning the event. The pair remains in the conference top 10. 

Senior Emma Klein (Gower, Mo.) had two top 10 results, one in the triple jump and one in the 100-meter dash. Junior Avyn Urbanski (Grand Island, Neb.) was the fourth top 10, also in the 100-meter dash. 

Omaha will compete in 10 track events and two field events at the Jim Duncan Invitational for a total of 22 athletes. 

Competition will begin at 12:30 p.m. CT for Omaha in the triple jump. Live results will be available.
