Omaha Now Headed to Denver in Schedule Change

Future Maverick Games Also Impacted by Revamped Slate

Jan 12, 2022

Omaha will be playing this weekend after all, although it will be in Denver instead of North Dakota.

The Mavericks and Pioneers will meet in a Saturday-Sunday series at Magness Arena after the National Collegiate Hockey Conference revised its schedule following the postponement of three of the league's weekend series due to COVID-19 protocols. Game time for both contests will be 7 p.m. (Central).

The switch is a part of a retooled conference schedule by the NCHC as it makes an effort to make up all originally scheduled games to complete a 96-game league slate. The Omaha-Denver series in Omaha, which was initially postponed last weekend until Feb. 4-5, will now take place on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26, at Baxter Arena on the weekend that the two sides were originally slated to play in Denver.

The Mavericks will now travel to North Dakota for a Friday-Saturday series on Feb. 4-5 instead.
