OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball team hosts Fort Wayne on Thursday, Feb. 26 at the Sapp Fieldhouse. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be the team's annual “Pink Out Night” to raise awareness of breast cancer. Links to live stats, audio and video will be available on OMavs.com.
The Teams
Omaha (8-18, 3-11 Summit League) fell to South Dakota State last week, 60-49, at Sapp Fieldhouse.
Fort Wayne (9-18, 3-11 Summit League) suffered a 72-66 setback over the weekend against North Dakota State.
Scouting the Mastodons
IPFW (9-18, 3-11 Summit League) dropped a 66-72 decision to North Dakota State on Saturday, Feb. 21 in Fort Wayne, Ind. Haley Seibert had a team-high 16 points while dishing out three assists and grabbing two steals. Hillary Moore snagged a team-high nine rebounds to go along with four points and a block. Rachel Rinehart and Kamilah Carter each scored 10 points for the Mastodons. As a team, Fort Wayne shot .322 from the field and went 18-19 from the charity stripe.
Seibert averages 17.9 points per game to lead IPFW. Rinehart is second on the team in scoring averaging 9.7 points per game. Kamilah Carter averages 9.6 points per game off the bench. Kenna Gary is the Mastodons leading rebounder with 5.0 boards per game.
As a team, Fort Wayne is scoring 70.4 points per game with a field goal percentage of .417 (654-of-1,569). The Mastodons are averaging 33.8 rebounds per game and 7.3 steals per game.
Head Coach Chris Paul is in his 10th year at Fort Wayne. He holds a 118-168 record at Fort Wayne making him the winningest coach in program history.

- Taijhe Kelly had three blocked shots and set the UNO record for blocks in a career with 293. The previous record of 291 was held by Maverick Hall of Famer Mary Henke Anderson.
- Mikaela Shaw led all scorers with her sixth double-double of the season. Shaw had 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
- Madi Robson added nine points, four assists, and three rebounds.
- Lanese Bough scored eight points, while Remy Davenport chipped in six.

- The Mavericks shot .457 from the field and went 10-12 (.833) from the free throw line.
- As a team, the Mavs shot .520 (26-50) from the field and .722 (13-18) from the charity stripe.
- Shaw leads the Mavericks in scoring and rebounding this season. She averages 15.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
- Davenport is second on the team in scoring averaging 9.1 points per game. She has made a team high 56 three-pointers this season. Her 56 three-pointers is tied for eighth most in a single season in Maverick history.
- Robson leads the team in assists (100) and Lanese Bough leads in steals (48). Bough is also second on the team in rebounds (133).
- Shaw has scored in double-digits 18 times this season, which is the most on the team. She has scored in double digits seven straight games and has had six double-doubles this season as well.
- Kelly leads the team with 79 blocked shots and has blocked four or more shots in a game 10 times this season. Against South Dakota State, Kelly set the school record for blocked shots in a career.
The Series
Thursday marks the sixth all-time meeting between the two programs. Fort Wayne leads the series, 4-1. Earlier this season in Fort Wayne, Ind., the Mastodons defeated Omaha, 70-59.
