DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Omaha women's tennis team split its two road matches on Saturday, defeating Truman 6-1 in a neutral-site opener before falling to host Drake 7-0 in the nightcap. UNO is now 2-3 (0-0 Summit League) on the year, while TSU falls to 0-4 (0-0 Great Lakes Valley) and DU improves to 3-0 (0-0 Missouri Valley).
MATCH 1: OMAHA 6, TRUMAN 1Omaha captured its first road win of the year to start the afternoon, soundly defeating Truman by a score of 6-1.
The Mavs began by winning two doubles matches for the doubles point, as the third match did not finish. Freshman

Jacqueline Baude won their No. 1 doubles contest 6-0, while the No. 3 duo of sophomores Rebecca Stafford and
Allison Johnson was also victorious, 6-2.
The Mavs continued their success on the singles side. At the No. 1 position, Lo won her match 6-1, 6-0. Junior
Molly Matricardi also nabbed a point at No. 2, 6-3, 6-3, before UNO closed by seizing wins in three of their next four matches. Truman's lone win came at No. 4, where Stafford's matchup went three sets before she was defeated 6-3, 6-7, (10-3).
MATCH 2: DRAKE 7, OMAHA 0The Mavericks concluded the day against host Drake, falling 7-0. Drake opened by taking the doubles point with all three matches.
In singles action, Nell Boyd defeated Rebecca Stafford at No. 4, 6-0, 6-0, and Lea Kozulic topped Johnson at No. 6, 6-0, 6-2. At No. 3, Baude dropped her match 6-0, 6-1. Lo finished out the day for the Mavs with a second-set battle but surrendered the match 6-0, 6-4.
Omaha returns to action on Friday, Feb. 13 at Valparaiso. The match is set for 10 a.m.
