The Teams
Omaha (6-14, 1-7 Summit League) fell at IPFW on Thursday evening, 70-59.
IUPUI (9-12, 4-4 Summit League) lost a 73-62 decision at Western Illinois on Thursday evening.
Scouting the Jaguars
IUPUI is 9-12 on the season and hold a 4-4 Summit League mark. The Jaguars are 9-2 in The Jungle this season and are 0-10 at away and neutral venues.
Western Illinois topped IUPUI, 73-62, on Thursday night in Macomb, Ill. IUPUI had four players in double-digits points. Akilah Sims had a team high 20 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the floor and grabbed five rebounds. Nevena Markovic had a double-double with 12 points and 10 points. Kelsi Byrd added 13 points and three assists, while Danielle Lawrence chipped in 10 points.
Markovic and Sims are the only Jaguars who average double digit points this season. Markovic leads the team in scoring (10.5 ppg) and rebounding (5.8 rebounds per game). Smith averages 10.2 ppg and 4.1 rebounds per game. Mikale Rogers has 21 blocks on the season.
Austin Parkinson is 68-77 in five seasons with IUPUI.

- Mikaela Shaw had a career high 26 points on Thursday night at Fort Wayne. Shaw was 11-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-8 at the free throw line. She also grabbed eight rebounds and had four steals.
- Brianna Bogard added nine points, Taijhe Kelly had eight points, while Remy Davenport chipped in seven points.
- Against Oral Roberts last Saturday, Bogard scored a team-high 14 points. She shot .500 from the field.
- Lanese Bough was second on the team in points scored with 10 and in rebounds with seven. Shaw had a team-high eight rebounds.
- Shaw had a team high 19 points against NDSU Thursday night and 10 rebounds, recording her fifth double-double on the season. She was 7-of-12 from the floor.
- Shaw leads the Mavericks in scoring and rebounding this season. She averages 12.6 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
- Bogard is second on the team in scoring. She is averaging 11.2 points per game.
- Bough leads the team in assists (77) and steals (41). She is also second on the team in rebounds (112).
- Shaw has scored in double-digits 12 times this season, which is the most on the team. She has had five double-doubles this season as well.
- Kelly leads the team with 61 blocked shots. She has blocked four or more shots in a game eight times this season.
- Omaha is 1-4 against teams appearing in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25. The Mavs lost to Northern Colorado (RV), North Dakota (RV), South Dakota (RV), and South Dakota State (#14); but defeated #14 Bakersfield, 80-68.
- This season, Omaha averages 60.8 points, 37.5 rebounds, and 13.3 assists per game.
The Series
Saturday's will be the sixth game between IUPUI and Omaha. The Jaguars hold a 4-1 series lead over the Mavericks and a 2-0 series lead in Indianapolis. UNO defeated IUPUI 66-49 in Omaha earlier this season.
On January 17, Remy Davenport had a team-high 13 points and six rebounds to lead three Omaha players in double figures. Madi Robson went 8-of-8 at the free throw line and scored a season high 12 points. Lanese Bough added 11 points, nine rebounds, six steals, and four assists. IUPUI was led by Mikale Rogers who had a game-high 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting from the floor. Jenna Gunn added six points and five boards, while Kelsi Byrd chipped in five points and three assists.
