The Teams
Omaha (6-13, 1-6 Summit League) lost a pair of Summit League games last week. UNO lost a 77-60 decision to North Dakota State at Sapp Fieldhouse on Thursday. On Saturday, the Mavs lost at Oral Roberts 74-53.
Fort Wayne (7-13, 1-6 Summit League) lost a pair of Summit League home games last week. South Dakota knocked off IPFW, 73-72, on Thursday evening. The Mastodons fell to Denver 82-75 on Saturday afternoon.
Scouting the Mastodons
The Mastodons are 7-13 on the season and 1-6 in Summit League play. At home, Fort Wayne holds a 6-6 record. As a team, Fort Wayne attempts 22.7 3-pointers per game, while making 7.7 trey's per game.
IPFW features two players that average double-digit points this season. Haley Seibert leads the Mastodons in points scored per game with 17.0 and in 3-point field goals made at 2.5 per game. Rachel Rinehardt chips in 10.0 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game. Rinehardt also leads the team with 3.0 assists per game this season. With 5.3 rebounds per game, Keanna Gary is at the top of the rebounding category.
The Mastodons average 71.3 points a game, while giving up 74.2 points per game. Fort Wayne grabs 36.0 rebounds per contest.
Fort Wayne is led by head coach Chris Paul who is in his 10th season with the Mastodons. Paul is the winningest head coach for Fort Wayne with a career record of 109-151. Last season, Paul led the Mastodons to their second appearance in the Women's Basketball Invitational.

- Against Oral Roberts last Saturday, Brianna Bogard scored a team-high 14 points. Bogard shot .500 from the field.
- Lanese Bough was second on the team in points scored with 10 and in rebounds with seven. Mikaela Shaw had a team-high eight rebounds.
- Shaw had a team high 19 points against NDSU Thursday night and 10 rebounds, recording her fifth double-double on the season. She was 7-of-12 from the floor.
- Senior center Taijhe Kelly blocked seven shots against NDSU which ties her season high. Kelly also grabbed eight rebounds against NDSU, while Sami Pawlak added eight points and four boards.
- Omaha shot 41.8 percent from the floor (23-of-55) against NDSU and 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from 3-point range.
- Shaw leads the Mavericks in scoring and rebounding this season. She averages 11.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
- Bogard is second on the team in scoring. She is averaging 11.3 points per game.
- Bough leads the team in assists (71) and steals (41). She is also second on the team in rebounds (104).
- Shaw has scored in double-digits 11 times this season, which is the most on the team. She has had five double-doubles this season as well.
- Kelly leads the team with 28 blocked shots. She has blocked four or more shots in a game eight times this season.
- Omaha is 1-4 against teams appearing in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25. The Mavs lost to Northern Colorado (RV), North Dakota (RV), South Dakota (RV), and South Dakota State (#14); but defeated #14 Bakersfield, 80-68.
