The Game

The Omaha women's basketball team wraps up a brief two-game Summit League homestand on Thursday, Jan. 22 when North Dakota State visits Sapp Fieldhouse.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.  Jon Green will have the radio call of the game on 1180 Zone 2, and fans can also stream the audio on their smartphones by downloading NRG Media's app “1620 The Zone.” Links to live stats, audio and video will be available on OMavs.com.

The Teams

Omaha (6-11, 1-4 Summit League) defeated IUPUI, 66-49, on Saturday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.

North Dakota State (8-10, 4-2 Summit League) defeated Fort Wayne, 81-60, in Fargo on Saturday afternoon.

Scouting the Bison

North Dakota State is 8-10 overall and 4-2 in Summit League action defeating Fort Wayne, 81-60, in Fargo on Saturday afternoon.

Brooke LeMar leads the NDSU in scoring with 18.9 points per game.  LaMar also leads the Summit League in the same category with 18.9 points per game.  She is also third in the Summit League in assists with 4.6 per game. Holly Johnson is second on the team in scoring (13.3 ppg) and in rebounding (7.2 rpg).  Marena White leads the Bison in rebounding with a 7.5 rebounds per game.

As a team, the Bison are averaging 69.8 points per game while allowing 70 per game to their opponents.  NDSU is outrebounded by their opponents 41.2-40.2.

  • Freshman guard Remy Davenport led the Mavericks in scoring for the second straight game against IUPUI.  Davenport had 13 points and six rebounds.
  • Madi Robson went 8-of-8 from the free throw line and had 12 points on Saturday, while Lanese Bough added 11 points and nine boards.
  • Davenport tied for a game high 22 points on Thursday evening against South Dakota State.  She went 8-of-13 from the floor, including six 3-pointers, to go along with five rebounds and blocked two shots.
  • Senior center Taijhe Kelly had a season high 13 points to go with six blocked shots and two rebounds against SDSU, while Bobbi Beckwith chipped in 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
  • Omaha shot 49 percent from the floor (25-of-51) against SDSU and 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from 3-point range.
  • Junior Brianna Bogard had a game-high 19 points against Denver on Jan. 8.  Bogard was 6-for-17 from the floor, including four 3-pointers.
  • Kelly had a game high 15 rebounds and blocked two shots.  Sophomore Mikaela Shaw added 12 points, eight rebounds, and five assists against the Pioneers.
  • Shaw leads the Mavericks in scoring and rebounding this season.  She averages 11.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
  • Bogard is second on the team in scoring.  She is averaging 11.5 points per game.
  • Bough leads the team in assists (68) and steals (40).  She is also second on the team in rebounds (94).
  • Shaw has scored in double-digits 10 times this season, which is the most on the team.  She has had four double-doubles this season as well.
  • Kelly leads the team with 49 blocked shots.  She has blocked four or more shots in a game seven times this season.
