The Omaha women's basketball team will look to get back on track when it hosts Peru State College on Monday, Dec. 1. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at Sapp Fieldhouse.
THE TEAMS
Omaha (2-3, 0-0 Summit League) dropped a 67-58 decision to Northern Colorado on Friday evening at Sapp Fieldhouse.
Peru State College (1-5, 0-0 HAAC) lost, 97-50, to NCAA Division II #3 Wayne State College on Friday evening.
SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS
Omaha is wrapping up a four game home stand on Monday evening. The Mavericks have three players scoring in double digits this season. UNO is led by sophomore guard Mikaela Shaw who is averaging a double-double this season. Shaw leads the team in points per game (12.8) and rebounds per game (10.8). Junior guard Brianna Bogard is second on the team in points per game (11.2). Bogard is 18-of-28 from the free throw line this season. Freshman Remy Davenport averages 11 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season. Davenport is 14-of-39 (35.9 percent) from long distance this season. Lanese Bough, a senior guard, leads the team with 26 assists and 14 steals. She also is 5-of-6 (83.3 percent) from the charity stripe.
The Mavericks are shooting 40.8 percent from the field (118-of-289) and average 41 rebounds per game. The Mavs are holding their opponents to 33.3 percent from the field (102-of-306).
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Peru State enters the game with a 1-5 record overall, coming off losses to NCAA Division II #3 Wayne State and NAIA Division II #8 College of Saint Mary. The Bobcats are led by senior forward Karlee Stuart. Stuart is leading the team with 14.7 points and 7.7 rebounds. Shelbie Hess is second on the team with 14.0 points and 2.7 rebounds. Stuart and Hess each were named to one of the Heart of America All-Conference teams last season. Senior forward Brittany Harward leads Peru State with 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shots per game. Sydney Wilkinson, a junior guard, leads the team with 3.8 steals per game.
The Bobcats are shooting 39.7 percent from the field (153-of-385) and 21.9 percent from long distance (23-of-105). Opponents are shooting 44.9 percent from the field (171-of-381) and 38.9 percent from beyond the 3-point arc (42-of-108).

THE SERIES
Omaha has an 8-0 all-time series record against Peru State. The last meeting between the two teams came on Dec. 4, 2007. The Mavs defeated the Bobcats 91-50.

The Mavs hit the road for a pair of non-conference games next weekend. Omaha will open up on Friday, Dec. 5 against Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill. at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Dec. 7 the Mavs play the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wis. at 2 p.m.
