OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's team closed the 2013 season on Monday, falling 7-0 in a Summit League match to Kansas City at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center.
 
Alex Tran opened singles competition for the Mavs, falling to UMKC's Laura Bouet, 6-2, 4-6, 10-7. Molly Matricardi faced Dimitra Stravrianakou and lost 6-3, 6-0. Jacqueline Baude followed in No. 3, falling 6-0, 6-1, and Tiffany Hottman took on Maddie Schulte, losing 6-1, 7-5. Rachel Pierson lost 6-0, 6-1 against Suzan Lisenby at No. 5, and Lindsay Weideman capped singles action for Omaha, falling 7-5, 6-7, 10-2 at No. 6.
 
In No. 1 doubles, Matricardi and Hottman lost by a tally of 8-5, and Baude and Pierson were downed by Stravrianakou and Lisenby in the No. 2 position, 8-2. To close the match, Tran and Benson teamed up at No. 3, surrendering an 8-4 match to Pintos and Schulte.
 
Omaha finishes its season with a record of 7-14 (2-5 Summit League), while the Kangaroos improved to 10-13 (6-1 Summit League).
