The Mavs crept back within seven at 31-24 on a jumper by Frauendorfer with 3:09 left in the half, but an 8-0 run by the Jackrabbits in the final 2:10 of the half gave them a 39-24 halftime advantage.
The Mavs scored the first six points after halftime to cut the lead to 39-30 with 18:33 to play, but the Jackrabbits reeled off six in a row to reclaim a 15-point lead at 45-30. The Mavs cut it to 47-36 on two free throws by
Allison Jackson with 15:58 remaining, but an 8-0 run by SDSU over the next 1:46 made it 55-36 with 14:12 left.
Omaha persisted though. The Mavs rallied with a 17-7 spurt over the next 7:09 to cut the deficit to nine, 62-53. Trailing 62-44, Nash and Blair-Mobley combined for four free throws, then Nash made a steal in the backcourt and a layup to make it 62-50. After an SDSU miss at the other end,

After two free throws by SDSU's Megan Waytashek, Blair-Mobley was fouled on a fastbreak and hit two free throws to make it 64-55. But SDSU pushed the lead back to 15, 70-55, with 3:23 to play, and never let the Mavs back within single digits.
Omaha finished the game shooting 36.5 percent from the floor (19-of-52), while the Jackrabbits hit 51.9 percent (27-of-52), making them the first team to shoot 50.0 percent or better against the Mavs in Chance Lindley's 47 games as head coach.
The Mavericks outscored SDSU in the second half, 40-35, and matched the most points South Dakota state has allowed (64) since Dec. 4.
