Denneil Shaw earned wins in the long jump and triple jump on the second day of competition at the Doane College Relays on Saturday.
Shaw set a personal best in the triple jump with a leap of 37-10 3/4. Her first in the long jump came with a mark of 17-08 3/4. It was her first win in the event this season.
Kathie-Lee Laidley tied for first place in the high jump with a personal best mark of 5-07. She shared the win with teammate
Sami Spenner who was competing unattached because she is redshirting the outdoor season.
Laidley also took second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.60, just behind Spenner who won in a time of 14.48.
Nicole Behm continued UNO's parade of personal bests when she won the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a new personal best time of 11:40.54, 10 seconds better than her previous PR.
Terri Armstrong had a personal best in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.52, good for second place behind teammate
Maja Mihalinec who won in a time of 12.17. Like Spenner, Mihalinec is redshirting the outdoor season so she was competing unattached.
Armstrong also took second in the 200 meters with a wind-aided time of 25.26.
Lauren Psota earned a personal best in the 400 meters with a time of 58.75, good for second place.
Next week, the Mavericks will compete in the Drake Relays on April 26-28 and at the Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson College on April 27 to finish the season.
