The Omaha women's basketball team finishes its eight-game home stretch to open the season on Saturday when Loyola Chicago visits for a 2 p.m. tipoff. A live webcast by America One will be available for purchase at OMavs.com. Free live stats are also available at OMavs.com.

The Teams
Omaha is 5-2 after a 49-48 setback at home to Tulsa on Tuesday. The Mavericks experienced their second-worst shooting performance of the season (33.3 percent) against the Golden Hurricane. UNO has lost both times it has shot under 40.0 percent this season. The Mavs still lead The Summit League in field goal percentage on the season (42.0 percent).
Loyola enters with a 3-4 record and is riding a three-game losing streak. The Ramblers most recently fell at Summit League member Western Illinois, 65-61, on Dec. 5. Loyola held a 10-point lead in the second half but let it slip away.

Series History
Loyola leads the series, 1-0, winning the only battle between the teams on Dec. 18, 2011, 69-57, in Chicago. Paige Frauendorfer had 18 points to go along with seven rebounds in the loss. Simone Law had a game-high 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Ramblers. Troy Hambric chipped in 16 points and 15 rebounds. UNO led 14-11 with 8:42 left in the first half, but the Ramblers closed out the half on a 19-6 run and claimed a 33-20 halftime lead.

Last Time Out
OMAHA, Neb. - Tulsa's Kadan Brady hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with six seconds left to break a tie game, and the Golden Hurricane went on to a 49-48 win over the UNO women's basketball team on Tuesday night at the Sapp Fieldhouse. The Mavs (5-2) fought all the way back from an early 14-point deficit to take the lead for the first time with 5:39 remaining. With the game tied at 46-46, Brady hit nothing but net from long distance for a 49-46 lead with six seconds left. The Mavs quickly pushed the ball up court but didn't get a 3-point attempt away. Taijhe Kelly's short bucket at the buzzer proved inconsequential. Paige Frauendorfer led UNO with 17 points and nine rebounds. Casse Vaughn added 10 points, all in the first five minutes after halftime, to spark the Mavericks back into the game.
