OMAHA, Neb. -- The UNO women's tennis team dropped a match Tuesday afternoon to Arkansas-Little Rock, as the Trojans swept the Mavericks, 9-0.
In doubles action, juniors #Traci Moklestad and Kelsie Olson# fell just short in an 8-5 loss to UALR's Viktoriya Plyuta and Nathalia Garay. At the No. 2 line, junior #Heather Hottman and freshman Jessica Hottman# were bested by Rebecca Van Den Hout and Yana Kakovkina, 8-2. In No. 3 doubles, juniors #Samantha Thomas and Caitlin Christy# lost their match, 8-0.
On the singles side, the Trojans came out swinging, posting six wins. UALR captured every singles match in straight sets and took the overall win, 9-0.
Nebraska-Omaha returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 25, hosting Graceland University. The match is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Hanscom Park Tennis Center.
