Final Results

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO men's tennis team fell in a close match to Division I Northern Colorado on Friday at Hanscom Park Tennis Center, 4-3.

Playing by Division I rules, the Mavericks took the one doubles point when #Brandon Otoski and Mike Hupf# won a 9-8 match over Alejandro Moncada and Andre Lepine. Earlier, #Drew Mercier and Matt Frost# had beaten Ryan Lane and Travis Day 8-6 to give the Mavs two out of three doubles wins.

In singles, Mercier and Frost each won their matches in straight sets at number one and two singles, respectively, but the Mavericks lost the other four singles matches in straight sets to fall by the final score of 4-3.

UNO, now 5-3 on the year, hosts two matches next week. UNO will face Doane College at 11 a.m., next Thursday, then hosts Graceland (Iowa) at 6:30 p.m., on Friday.
