GREENWOOD, Ind. - Omaha Men's Tennis players Bryan Kuntz (Cuiaba, Brazil), Christian Trevey (Parker, Colo.) and Pavan Uppu (Pickerington, Ohio) were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team®, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be named to the Academic All-District Team®, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a sophomore or above, compete in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
Kuntz recorded a singles record of 8-10 in the spring with a 5-8 mark in the No. 1 flight and a doubles record of 12-6 with an 8-4 mark in the No.1 flight.
Trevey finished the spring 9-11 in singles and 3-6 in doubles.
Uppu wrapped up the season 6-13 in singles and 10-6 in doubles with a 10-5 record in the No. 1 doubles flight.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America ® is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions.
