JOPLIN, Mo. - #Danielle Archuleta# scored her first goal of the season late in the second half to help the UNO soccer team to a 1-0 win against Missouri Southern on Saturday afternoon at Fred C. Hughes Stadium.

With the win, the Mavericks are now 3-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

Archuletta tallied in the 72nd minute of the game, firing home a loose ball after it had hit a Missouri Southern defender.

UNO's #Lauren Fox# earned the shutout, stopping all three shots on goal.  The Mavericks are now 11-0 all-time against the Lions.

The Mavericks return home for a light week.  They'll host Northwest Missouri State on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. at the UNO soccer field.  It is their only game of the week.
