BOLIVAR, Mo. – The UNO womens soccer team played to its first tie of the season, finishing a 1-1 draw in double overtime against Southwest Baptist University on Thursday.

The tie moves UNO to 2-2-1 in conference play and 2-4-1 overall.

The Mavericks trailed SBU, 1-0 on a goal by Ashley Creason just ten minutes into the contest.  They answered in the 84th minute when #Becca Swanson#'s blocked shot ricocheted into the goal from about 20 yards out past SBU goalkeeper Megan Link.

In the first overtime, the Mavericks outshot the Bearcats 6-1, and led SBU 24-9 overall in the game.

UNO outgunned SBU 11-4 in shots on goal, and UNO goalkeeper #Lauren Fox# had three saves in 110 minutes.

UNO will next play Missouri Southern on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 12 p.m. in Joplin, Mo.  The Mavericks are 10-0-0 all-time against the Lions.
