KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State got a goal in the seventh minute of action and held on for a 1-0 win over the UNO soccer team on Saturday afternoon.  The loss dropped the Mavs to 1-3 on the year and 1-1 in the MIAA.

The Bulldogs got the only goal they would need at 6:10 when Olivia Hayes converted a feed from Megan Buri for her second goal of the season.

The Mavericks outshot the Bulldogs 14-9 for the game but could not get the equalizer.  Goalkeeper #Lauren Fox# stopped three of four shots for the Mavs.

It was the third consecutive game in which Truman had shutout UNO, 1-0.  The Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the year and 2-0 in the MIAA.

UNO returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 16 when it hosts Washburn at the UNO Soccer Field.  Game time is 4 p.m.
