WICHITA FALLS, Texas - All three Maverick pitchers gave up runs and the UNO offense scored just once off five hits in a 9-1 loss to fifth-ranked Midwestern State in the second round of the NCAA tournament Saturday. The 21st-ranked Mavericks dropped to Sunday's 11 a.m. elimination final against West Texas A&M. The winner of that game will advance to play MSU at 1:30 p.m. and must beat the host Mustangs twice.
