PITTSBURG, Kan. - Four Mavericks reached double figures but Nebraska-Omaha shot just 21 percent in the second half in an 87-64 loss at Pittsburg State Saturday. The loss eliminated the Mavs from postseason play and ended their season at 12-15 overall and 7-13 in the MIAA.

Alyssa Green# scored 16 points in her final game as a Maverick. She ended her career with 1,410 points to finish eighth in school history. She finished fifth with 345 assists, third with 243 steals and seventh with 100 3-pointers.

Kiley Herold# came off the bench to score 11 points, one off the freshman's season high. Sophomore #
Heather Pohl hit three 3s and also scored 11 while freshman Jamie Nash# had 10.
Green led the Mavs with six rebounds and Nash had four assists.
The Mavs never led in the game. They trailed by six at the 8:34 mark of the first half before they used a 7-1 run to tie the score at 27-27. UNO ran out of steam after that and the Gorillas went on a 10-0 run to regain control.
The Mavericks were down nine at halftime, 45-36 and they never got any closer in the second half.
UNO shot 30 percent in the game while the Gorillas shot 52 percent. Nicole McCombs led PSU with 26 points. Pittsburg State finished 14-13 overall and fourth in the MIAA at 12-8.

Ashley Nelson# finished her career with 44 blocks this year, the sixth highest single-season total and she finished with 83 career blocks to finish tied for fourth all-time. Nash finished her first year with 81 steals to tie for ninth in UNO single-season history.
The Mavericks played nearly the entire MIAA season just a game or two away from reaching the top half of the conference standings. They lost their final five games but weren't eliminated until the final game of the season. A Southwest Baptist loss Saturday would mean the Mavs would finish tied for eighth, but the Bearcats hold the tie-breaker over the Mavs to give them the No. 8 seed in the tournament.
Aside from the 23-point loss at PSU, UNO's final four losses before that were decided by an average of 5.5 points.
